Equipment
Named equipment used across assessments, described plainly first.
Measures the length of the eye. It's the single most useful number for tracking whether a child's myopia is progressing, and by how much, appointment to appointment. Used throughout myopia management.
Maps the curvature of the cornea in fine detail. Used to fit orthokeratology (OrthoK) lenses precisely to the shape of each eye, and to monitor any change in corneal shape over time.
Records how a child's eyes move while they read, showing how smoothly their eyes track along a line of text. Used as part of the Comprehensive Children's Vision Assessment when reading difficulties are being investigated.
